What is Holographic Engraving?
That shimmering effect isn’t created with color—it’s made by shaping the surface itself. A femtosecond laser engraves thousands of nano-grooves into the metal, each only a few dozen nanometers deep. These tiny structures bend and scatter light into a full spectrum, just like a butterfly’s wing or a drop of dew.
The result? A pattern or inscription that’s literally carved with light—and only appears from certain angles. In normal lighting, it stays dark or even invisible. And that’s the beauty of it.

How It Works
We use an advanced femtosecond laser to carve thousands of nano-grooves into the ring's surface. These grooves are only tens of nanometers deep, but they reshape the way light reflects and diffracts.

It’s engraved into tungsten carbide, one of the hardest materials used in jewelry. That means it won’t wear off, scratch away, or fade over time.

How to Take Care of Your Ring
Holographic rings are as tough as the tungsten they’re made from.
To keep the surface clean and bright just clean it gently with water and a soft cloth.
Tungsten rings are incredibly hard and resistant to everyday wear. You don’t need to worry about scratching or dulling the holographic effect.
The only thing to avoid are strong impacts against hard surfaces—while rare in daily use, a heavy strike can damage the ring. In fact, that’s how tungsten rings are intentionally broken in emergencies (e.g., with a hammer on a metal base).
So treat it with basic care, and it will easily handle the rest.
Why we chose tungsten
Most jewelers avoid tungsten—it’s tough, hard to resize, and unforgiving to work with. But that's exactly what makes it ideal for something that should last forever. It doesn’t wear down. It keeps its shine without special care. It’s reliable.
We didn’t even consider gold. Not because we don’t appreciate tradition, but because we wanted rings that could withstand anything.
Tungsten turned out to be the perfect choice. It’s nearly as hard as sapphire, meaning it doesn’t scratch. It doesn’t react with sweat or oxygen, so it won’t tarnish or lose its shine. And thanks to its density, it has a satisfying weight—you feel it on your hand, but it never gets in the way.
From a technical perspective, it’s also the ideal surface for our laser process. The holographic structures stay sharp and intact for decades. The material doesn’t deform, and the light effect never fades.
