HoloRing founder / Laser science
Petr Hauschwitz
Petr studies how microscopic structures change a surface. He founded HoloRing to apply that experience to laser-engraved and holographic rings.

The origin
The first ring began as a personal project.
Petr was looking for an unusual engagement ring for his partner. His work with laser-made surface structures gave him a place to start.
He tested those methods on a ring and continued developing the idea. The experiments became HoloRing, a company he runs independently from his institutional work.
- Venture
- Founder of HoloRing s.r.o.
- Scope
- HoloRing operates independently from Petr's role at HiLASE Centre.
Research in practice
A surface designed around light.
Femtosecond laser pulses form microscopic structures directly in the metal. Directional light reveals spectral color as the ring moves.

Design for the curve
The motif is adapted to a small, curved surface so fine details remain legible.
Choose the process
Engraving forms recessed detail. Holographic structuring creates angle-dependent color.
Verify the result
The finished ring is viewed under changing illumination to check detail and optical response.
